Jaganmohan had resigned from the party after the Congress expressed anger over the episodes telecast on Sakshi television channel owned by him, which criticized the party leadership.
He had earlier said that he has no intention to destabilise the Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy Government in Andhra Pradesh as he is preparing to face the Assembly elections in 2014. “I don’t want to be in the state assembly right now. If I am there, they (Congress) will say I am there to destabilise the Government. I don’t want that,” he added.
Jaganmohan further said he has fast-tracked the process to register and launch his new political party before the by-elections for Kadapa and Pulivendula assembly constituencies are announced. Both seats were vacated by him and his mother Vijayalaxmi after they quit Congress on November 29 last year.
Moreover, Jagan has been defying Congress leadership by going on ‘Odarpu yatra’ reportedly to meet and console the family members of people who committed suicide following the death of his father YS Rajashekhar Reddy.
