Regallapalli (Telugu: రేగల్లపల్లి or రేగల్లపల్లె or రేగళ్ళపల్లె or రేగళ్ళపల్లి)  is a small village in Proddatur Mandal of Kadapa (YSR) district and is Situated on the banks of River Penna. It comprises of castes – Reddy, Thogata & Yerukala. Reddy is the predominent community. Principle occupation of the people is Agriculture.

The river forms a wider flow by dividing the flow into 4 ways.In between the flows it forms small small islands.it is well heard that this village is a place for MUNI s and Rushi s (MONKS) IN B.C ….

Story behind the Name :

There used to be several jujubee (Regu) trees in this village long back and people from neighbour villages used to collect the fruits of jujube trees. Hence this village named as ‘Regallapalle’ over a period of time.
