Foundation laid for 11 Kasturba schools

Kadapa: Minister for Minority Welfare Mohd. Ahmedullah unveiled a plaque to lay foundation stones for 11 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya on “Balika Dinotsavam” on Kadapa Zilla Parishad premises on Wednesday.

Each school building would be constructed with a sum of Rs.1.20 crore each, the Minister said. The government would supply uniforms and books free of charge to all the students. Rayachoti MLA G. Srikanth Reddy and Railway Kodur MLA K. Srinivasulu said all the family members should turn educated. He complimented a KGBV student for scoring high marks and presented a cash prize.

He asked Rajiv Vidya Mission officials and teachers to strive to improve pass percentage among KGBV students in SSC this year. RVM Project Officer K. Suryanarayana Reddy said 21,000 students were admitted so far.
