Industrialist Obul Reddy passes away

P. Obul Reddy, industrialist, philanthropist and patron of the arts, passed away in Chennai on Wednesday ( 1ST July 2010) after a prolonged illness. He was 85 year old, and is survived by two sons and three daughters. P. Obul Reddy( Pottipati Obul Reddy) born in 1925 in a village Urlagattu Podu ( Pottipati Palli) of Railway kodur mandal of Kadapa district.

Steel processing unit likely at Railway Kodur

A steel processing unit will be set up at Settigunta area in Railway Kodur mandal of Kadapa district at a cost of Rs 1,300 crore. As part of this, beneficiation plant and pelletisation plant will be set up under the aegis of the National Mineral Development Corporation and the State Mineral Development Corporation.
