KADAPA: The Election Commission of India announced the schedule for the MLC (Local Bodies) constituency in Kadapa district on Thursday.
Comission would issue the election notification on Friday, In charge Kadapa Collector and Distrrict Election Officer K. Nirmala said on Thursday.
Candidates can file nominations from February 25 to March 4, scrutiny would be done on March 5, withdrawal of papers up to March 7 and polling would be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 21.
The votes would be counted from 8 a.m. on March 23, she said in a statement. The State Chief Electoral Officer, said in a fax message that the Joint Collector would act as Returning Officer and District Revenue Officer V.H. Hemasagar as Assistant Returning Officer, she said adding that the election code would apply.
