YSR memorial at Idupulapaya

The Cabinet on Thursday approved the allotment of 16.55 hectares of reserve forest area at Rajiv Knowledge Valley in Idupulapaya of Kadapa district for Dr.Y.S.R.Memorial.

The memorial park would have statue of YSR, a ‘obelisk’ – a tall four-sided shaft of stone, museum cum art gallery, lotus pond, herbal garden, landscaping and amenities like car park, canteens. Tourism Minister J. Geetha Reddy said the work would commence in November and be completed by September, 2011.
