Venkateswara kalyanam performed in Devuni Kadapa

The kalyanotsavam of Sri Venkateswara Swamy and his consorts Sridevi and Bhoodevi was performed with religious fervour and gaiety in Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy temple at Devunikadapa here on Thursday.

The temple’s chief priest Matcha Venkata Seshacharyulu and priests Mayuram Krishnamohan, Parthasarathi, Krishnamurthy, Narasimhacharyulu, Srikanth, Trivikram and Krishna Sai performed the kalyanam in the Lord’s birth star, Sravana. They performed punyahavachanam, thirumanjana seva, ksheerabhishekam, mangalasutra dharana and thalambralu.

Devotees participated in good number and chanted Govinda namam. Temple inspector Easwara Reddy, security officer J. Nageswara Rao and other devotees participated.
