Kotha Kotapadu (Telugu : కొత్త కోటపాడు) is located at a distance of 15 km from badvel, and 35 km from the district head quarters kadapa. This village was constructed in 1990 by migrants of Somasila backwater affected villages. Majority of this villagers are migrated from kotapadu village of Rajampet Mandal. Kotapadu of Rajampet Mandal no more exists as it sub merged in Somasila backwaters. In this context this village is named as Kotha Kotapadu.

This village have so many deparmental stores. At first govt post office at Kumbhagiri used to serve (dispatch & collect mails) this village and now it is Akkiredypalli. There is a police station in this village, due to which it is also called by local villagers as Kondur police station.
