KADAPA: Kadapa Superintendent of Police D.S. Chauhan launched a website of Kadapa police at the District Police Office here on Tuesday. On the website www.kadapapolice.org, people can lodge a complaint, ascertain the status of the complaint and ‘Dial Your SP’ petitions, the status of passport verification and “contact us”. The list of policemen who laid their lives in maintenance of law and order and the list of wanted criminals can be viewed, Mr. Chauhan said to newsmen.
The website provides a form in which a person can leave their name, address and information and a police official would contact them and take up the case. Mr. Chauhan said all the First Information Reports (FIRs) would be incorporated on the website, besides adding the pictures and data of missing persons as well as rowdy-sheeters.
Stolen vehicles
The details of stolen vehicles will also be put on the site, he said. A mechanism to help rural people get access to the website would be evolved, he said. Mr. Chauhan announced a cash reward for a constable in the Information Technology core team Madhu, who developed the website and assured to recommend him for a police medal. He also complimented SP (Administration) L.S. Chowhan who supervised the creation of the website. Kadapa DSP B.V. Subba Reddy, Armed Reserve DSP K. Sekhar and Circle Inspectors K. Hema Kumar, U. Suryanarayana and V. Narayanaswamy Reddy also participated.
