tekurpeta is the village of porumamilla mandal. There are 100 houses in this village and it comprises of castes: Reddy, balija, kapu,muslims,Vysyas, Saale, Brahmins, Mala & Madiga. etc.

Tekurpeta having bank (sbi) and post office. Tekurpet having so many temples like nageswari devi temple and veera bramendra swamy temple, Ramalayam and navagrahas. There is an ancient siva temple nearer to the nageswari devi temple.

Tekurpet is famous for it’s Turmeric production.
